Our Story
Dragonbone began not with a brand, but with a family. Four generations have lived on this land, each one leaving behind stories in the soil and building something meant to last. Fences were mended, trees planted, recipes passed down, and names carved into weathered wood and memory alike.
We’ve watched the seasons roll through this land. We’ve seen children grow tall under the shadows of oaks nurtured by their great-grandparents. And still, the heartbeat of this place remains unchanged: the deep knowing that we are part of something older than ourselves.
Dragonbone is the name we’ve given to that feeling — to the strength beneath the surface, to the roots that hold us fast, and to the fire we tend so it will be here for the next generation, and the next after that.
This is our story. And if it feels a little like yours, then maybe you’ve found your place, too.
The Origin of Our Name
We didn’t just choose the name Dragonbone — it rose up from the land itself. Beneath the surface of these fields lie the spiral remains of ancient ammonites, scattered like secrets in the soil. In the beginning, we unearthed them with dirt-stained hands and swore they were dragon bones. We said it in jest — at first. But over the years, the name took hold, and so did the feeling that maybe we weren’t wrong.
There’s a power here. A presence. Some say it’s just the weight of history, but we’ve come to believe it’s more than that. The dragons may be gone, or maybe they’re simply sleeping — watching over the land they once called home. Dragonbone is our way of honoring what’s ancient, what’s unseen, and what still lingers just beneath the surface.
“It was one of those still evenings you get in the late summer, when the sky is just the right shade of dusty blue, and everything is so quiet that you can hear the grass growing.”
